This policy explains what data the Workbench app and website (together "Workbench", "we", "us") collect, why, and the choices you have. Workbench is a DIY and around-the-house project manager. We collect only what the service needs to work, and we do not sell your data.
Workbench is operated by Noduri Inc, the data controller responsible for your information. For any privacy question or request, contact support@doityourselfworkbench.com.
| Account information | Your email address and display name, so you can sign in and we can keep your projects tied to your account. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email and name from that provider. |

| Location | If you enable it for outdoor projects, your approximate location is used to look up local weather. We send the coordinates to the weather provider to get the forecast back, and nothing else with them: they are not stored with your account, and the provider is not told whose device they came from. |
| Diagnostics and crash data | We use Sentry to capture crashes and errors so we can fix them. These reports can include technical device information and limited identifiers to help us reproduce a problem. They are used only to keep the app working. |
| Subscription status | If you subscribe to Workbench Pro, we store which plan you are on, when a subscription started or lapsed, and an identifier that links your account to the purchase. We never see or store your payment details. Apple takes the payment through the App Store and tells us only whether your subscription is active. |
To provide the app's features, keep your data in sync across sessions, respond to support requests, and diagnose and fix problems. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
We rely on a small set of service providers, each handling only what its function requires:
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from the app's settings screen. Deleting your account removes your projects, photos, and authentication record. Backups and diagnostic logs are cycled out on a rolling basis.
Purchase records are an exception we cannot delete for you. Apple and RevenueCat keep their own record of a transaction to meet tax and accounting obligations, and that record survives the deletion of your Workbench account. It contains the purchase itself, not your projects. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings, or it will keep renewing.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to receive a copy in a portable format, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent you have given (for example, location access). You can act on most of these directly in the app, or email us and we will respond within the time your local law requires. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. If you are in the EU or UK and believe we have mishandled your data, you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Our service providers (see above) may store and process your data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers. By using Workbench you understand that your data may be processed in these locations.
The mobile app does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our website uses only the cookies strictly necessary to serve the page; it does not track you across sites or for advertising.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to your data is scoped to your account, and stored images are served through short-lived, signed links.
Workbench is not directed at children under 13, or under the age of digital consent where you live if that age is higher, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us their data, email us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
